Broomhall Tavern Boxing Day Walk ~ 1931

This picture from Sheffield Archives shows the Broomhall Tavern Boxing Day Walk in 1931. The Picture Sheffield website says some of the men are Hallamshire Harriers.

The Broomhall Tavern was on the corner of 105-107 Broomhall Street and Thomas Street and was utilised many times by the local community as a gathering place. Through looking at old Victorian newspapers we have seen that many local inquests or other legal proceedings took place there.
