Certificate of Merit for Robert Wass

Robert was born on 21st December 1886. On the 1901 census he was age 14, working as a van boy and living at 38 Egerton Street with his mother Jane Wass, a widow and grocer, and his brother William, a file cutter, age 16.

Robert  later moved to Springvale Road and married Jessie. Sadly he was killed in action in WWI on 11th June 1918.
